Ask your H22 Questions Here

Anyone know how many ft/lbs the H22 spark plugs take https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif ?

Skunked was right in the other thread, that the one thing our last thread provided was a place where anyone could come get an answer to any H22 question. So I just made the thread title reflect that. Hopefully this one will last a little longer. Lets just make sure there is tech on every page https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif .

If an H22 teg runs a 12 in the quarter, but nobody is around to see it, is it still faster than a B16? https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmileo.gif

Roti is in training class today.
Hey while I have your attention, I am working on a guys car. The previous owner put a ex wiring harness and all the power window shit to do the conversion. Well he finally put a motor in it and now the driver side window rolled down one time and never rolled back up and every time you press the brake pedal it blows the Stop/horn fuse. I pulled the dash completely out of the car and found nothing out of the ordinary. What do you guys think?

something is spliced in somewhere.........

Take out your magnifeye glass and have fun.

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here (Turbogixxer)

20amp.
The previous owner said he had to splice the ex and si harness behing the driver side seat. I am ready to pull my hair out over this car. I have traced damn near every wire in the car and nothing has helped. I even went back through and sanded the ground surfaces just to be sure.

Does he have cruise control? On the ex, the brake wire runs though the cruise unit, maybe that has something to do with it.

Whats the year of both harnesses?

If you get a flow sheet together, I will help you, it is going to be a headache either way.

Evil-EK Feb 2, 2006 08:02 AM

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here (IHateJDM)

the si had cruise control but he is not using it. I already had to change the wiper switch due to the fact of the ex harness not haveing the plug for the rear wiper. When you would turn the ignition on the wipers would go full speed. I put an ex switch in it and it cured that problem.
What kind of pick did you post cause it didnt work?

I believe the ex harness is out of a 94 and the car is a 92 si. I could live with having to wire in the power windows but popping fuses for the brake lights is my biggest concern.

it was from autozone's wire diagrams, I had to host it myself, should be working now. that is for a 92-95 civic/del sol.

The car doesnt have the cruise controll box under the dash. You know the brain box. Do you think that would cause the system to be faulty?

IHateJDM Feb 2, 2006 08:07 AM

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here (BigBlockH22atch)

i don't know, i don't even have cruise, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Re: Ask your H22 Questions Here (IHateJDM)

I will go to the local junkyard today and pic up one of those boxes today. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
