anyone running a hytech k20a ek/eg header? clearance question
is anyone running a hytech k20a/k24 header in a ek or eg....I am wondering about space under the shifter.
to be exact I have a EK I want to buy the Karcepts shifter kit & I am worried about cutting the hole for the shiftkit & then running into clearance issues ---> then being up a creek with a big hole where I need to mount the shifter
I would also like to avoid this
BTW I know someone was running a red eg with k20a & NOS with a hytech header but I can't find the thread
thanks
-Greg
BTW my header looks like this but with a 2.5" collector on it to bolt up to an exhaust

Re: anyone running a hytech k20a ek/eg header? clearance question (adirondackR)
That's the DTR header, right? I haven't heard of any clearance issues with the use of the Karcepts unit with that header. I'm using a Comptech TSX(had to keep $$ down), but didn't have any problems with the exhaust clearance. Good luck.

no - its is not a DTR header...its a hytech header...as I stated above previously. clearances are different from header to header...thanks for the imput tho.
by looking at photos of hasport mounted K series & lining up the header outside my car...the primaries merge well before the shifter - which was one of my concerns. hopefully everything will fit just right
