if you want a stronger block, sent it out to Golden eagle and have it sleeved to a 1.98 L. The B20 is the same block was the LS, but the sleeves are thinner because Honda bored it out from the factory.

Yes, all your ITR parts will fit on a B20. It is the same as doing LS/Vtec. (in a matter of speaking)

I hope that answered your question!

lmao! you gotta be the first person I know who's complaining about their B18C5 not beening strong enough. if you want it to be stronger; sleeve it, get forged pistons, forged rods, etc......

all personal opinions aside, I installed a b20 into my GSR while I build the b18c1 motor. It's an easy swap, as long as you use an LS or modified ITR manifold (the b20 one is too tall).

Chances are you'll be looking at doing a B20/VTEC swap. Your head will fit, with minimal changes and it will have more low end power, but unless you spend a bit of cash building the block, don't expect 8k revs, at least not for very long.

Hi Thanks for all the replies. Now I want it for endurance races. I need more power at a lower rpm. I had arround + 210 whp on my ITR but I blew up my engine. One of the valves broke into the cylinder and messed up the whole engine and head.
Its a shame , the engine was only build 30 track hours ago. I used a std ITR engine , a mugen head gasket , an JG edlebrock intake manifold , a STR 70mm T/B , Skunk 2 stage II cams , and Skunk 2 valve train kit (springs+ TI retainers) , a cold air intake , header and full SS exhaust line , no cat converter just a testpipe , an Mugen ECU and a apexi VAFC , the car was fast on the track . But not any more . I don't know the cause of the failiure but something must have gone wrong with the valves ? I was ONLY reving arround 8.000 rpm in full accelmeration when it happened.
People say stop using the TI retainers ? other say its beacuse of the Skunk2 cams ?They wear out quickly ?
So many questions , but who will tell what went wrong ??????
The B18C6 (in Europe its B18C6) is a very strong engine , but I need more torque and power at a lower RPM , I thing its better foe endurance 3 to 4 hour racing?
I think I'll put a nex Mazda RX-8 engine in there , no turbo's , no valves and only a 1.3L and 240 HP ?

Greetings

From Europe

Douglas
