Yes I have heard of Amsoil.... I actuall sell it. It is a very high quality synthetic oil. They were the pioneers of synthetic. I would recommend it to any one hybrid or not. I am running it in my car! Also most of my friends that have done up cars are also running it. If you would like more info on it you can e-mail me shawn@sound-buys.com

I used to use it in my integ. I bought it from a friend of mine wholesale (very expensive otherwise). I got the 0W30 stuff and it seemed too too thin as the car used it up somewhat.

Other than that, who can say. Their selling feature was that you do oil changes every 30 000miles and a filter change every 15k. I didn't trust it so i did mine more often.

My friend had a 300 000mile+ VW that he did it on tho. He even sent away oil samples periodically and the oil was fine the whole way. The thing is tho, that junker vw burned a bit, so fresh stuff got added all along...

I ran out of it and didn't buy anymore and i havn't cared what kind of oil goes in my engine 'cause i'm about to yank the old junker out now anyway.
