ok, check the voltage of the vtec solenoid wire!, when the car as @ idle, and when the is to ON, but not running.
and report back at 1400 hours.

no problem.
as i am in australia and it is 9am in the morning, i will check the voltage and report back in 10hrs time...
with permission, may i speak my mind, sir!
im pretty sure it wont mean **** to you though.
i am much better at solving problems (ie a stratigic officer) than running around measuring voltage (ie ground forces).
what is the point in measuring the VTEC solenoid voltage? it would only tell you if your ECU is fried, does your engine run?
if you dont have VTEC - it is related to your VSS code - not the non-active voltage of a solenoid.
sir!

ok cool enuff, *ahem* i mean, Good work soldier.
go to your quarters, and wait, as you are on standby

and your vtec works?
i'm getting the same voltages.. .
i'm getting the same voltages.. .
BUT onlty after i solved my VSS code.
this VSS needs to goto the ECU to tell it the car is moving - VTEC wont engage unless you are doing over 20MPH.
so you need to find the VSS off your dash that used to goto your other (old) ECU.
this is usually a yellow wire with a red stripe.
this output from your speedo needs to goto B16 on the PR3 ecu.
does this kinda make sense?
its pretty annoying but i had to do it to get VTEC...
do you still have teh code 17???????
if so - this is your problem.
it can be fixed
