Default Any STOCK H22 EK coupes run 13.5 or lower on street tires?

I have been told (unfortunately in my forsale post) that a civic coupe weighing 2700 lbs with a stock H22 and no LSD should be running less than 13.5 in the quarter mile on street tires. Has anyone done this?

Tell me about it. I am just checking my math and experience against what this guy says. I've seen an EG h22 hatch gutted struggle to hit 13.3's with LSD and 22 inch slicks. I know they can be faster. But that's still 2000 lb hatch with 200 lb person Versus my 2500 lb civic with 180 lb passenger.

NA, I only went 13.8@100 in my eg cx, and thats as light as they come. I cut a decent 2.1 60' on streets and lsd. I maybe could have squeeked out a 2.0 if I had adjusted my suspension properly, but even then, I prolly only would have ran a 13.6-13.7.

Id imagine they'd have to have a really strong stock motor or be a really good driver to hit a 13.5 in a coupe

just my .02

&lt;----- No. No possible way.

Edit: I *should* be runnig 13.8s or so, but even so I have:

-AN-R Header
-Fake J's Short Ram+ K&N
-2.5" Exhaust
-EuroR IM
-a/f tune off of uberdata

I'm pulling consistent low 2.2s and getting 14.0s @ 99s mph. With a decent 2.1 I'd be 13.8-13.9 range.

That is race weight (includes driver, full interior except carpet, and AC).

When I used to have a Civic Coupe w/ a stock H22A and performance bolt-ons, I was only able to break into the 13s w/ drag radials.

It weighs 2750lbs with me in it.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by cpforyou &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

With performance boltons is where I'm at, but no drag radials. My humble estimation is that most people pull 1.9-2.0 60s on drag radials. If I was putting that down in the 60 then I would be around high to mid 13s as well.

What these jokers are saying is that the drop in swap is going to mid to low 13s, which, as much as I love my motor, would be a pipe dream with an average 2.2 (street tire) 60'. Now I've seen people do high 13s (13.8-13.9) on streets with with a stock motor, but not ever in h-t or at the local drag have I seen or even seen someone claim to have pulled 13.5 on econobox tires with a completely stock swap.

I think he was saying that even with performance boltons and drag radials he was just able to crack 13s.

I also have never heard of a stock h22 ek running 13.5, however an eg hatch (cx+stripped) with a stock h22 could definitely do it with a good driver.

not high 14's. high 14's are where the average prelude vtec model runs. so i would assum mid being the slowest and low 14's being best with some high 13's with an great driver.
