Any hybrid people driven or raced a GT-S
I drove my friends stock gt-s first of the stock clutch has to be equal to like a act stage 3-4 because it fells like my act 3, i mean that **** is so harsh for a stock clutch, but iam just wondering how a hybrid does with one of these because it pulled hella hard in 3rd gear and wasent stopping there. I am thinking about doing a b18c or cr-vtec converion how would this compare to the gt-s?

I dont think they can hang with Hybrids, but they beat GSRs. Now I alot of GSR owners might flame me for saying that but my friends GSR was stock but well tuned with type R ECU

Also, it's never me that provokes it. The first time was this mullet wearing fool in a black GT-S, he pulled up at a light while I was jamming to some blink. I stared at him just to verify the mullet, so I had to smoke him. The other one was my friend and he's not that good of a driver anyways.

Yeah I smoked some guy with his TRD "speed package" or whatever you call it. Got B18B power but I think the turbo was talking that night.

Their just like VTECs. If you dont know how to drive it your scarred. I think a good driver in one with bolt ons will be good comp for a b16 hatch with equal mods. Ive beaten a few in my car and i know their faster.

i race them whether they want to get a hard spanking or not. the fully gutted b18b turbo hybrid hatch charges anything and everything. i would not even want to drive a celica gt-s.

I luv mashin it out against a good Toyo cat but the B16 Si will smoke em every time. At least in my opinion, engine was totally stock aside from the Skunk cams &cam gearz. From street 1/4 mile to highway stretch i've dusted em, much respect tho.

A B16 Si smoke a GTS? My friends GSR lost to a GTS and even though it wasnt by much (1/2 fender) a loss is a loss. The GTS was made and designed to takeaway market share specifically from Acura. His GSR was stock and so was the GTS from what i was told. So if a GSR and GTS are simular... what make you think a SI could even keep up???

Re: Any hybrid people driven or raced a GT-S (fowler)
Or even a 4th gen B16 Si like mine (ED9).
The problem with the GT-S is that it has a narrow (2000rpm or so) high cam operating range. Once you shift to second at redline, it drops well below the high cam range. One guy I ran into at battle Joliet (running some low 15s) said that he took it to the fuel cut in first and second gear, which if I remember correctly, was in the mid 8k range.
