ANY B20/VTEC'ERS W/CHIPPED P28
running a b20z/vtec with chipped p28. My question is. I cant seem to fix my idle fluctuating problem. Was wondering if your running the same setup that is it possible to have a perfect idling car or is there no way with a chipped ecu?S2s2 cams have stock idle right?

Re: (lsvtecDC2)
so screw it or what. figure I probably have to deal with it since it is some what of a bootleg setup. What sucks is I have older friends who are honda tecs(use to work at a dealer) and non of them want to even touch my car cuz of the frankenstien setup.

i've had the same problemw with mine, but i've always attributed the problem to the older p28 Hondata w/o the ability to remove the 1400 rpm fuel cut for closed loop. I'm not sure whether it's that, the Crane cams, or the tps...?

I've seen chipped P28 progs that would give an engine idling issues, so that could be a possibility. If you have a chance to swap in another chipped P28 or even a P30, P72 etc. I would give that a try. What type of catchcan are you running? Any PVC system? I've seen these cause idle issues also in the B18B/B20VTEC setups. Also as mentioned, the TPS, IACV, or a small vacuum leak could also be an issue.

i idle like stock at 900 rpm, 12.5 CR and toda B cams.
Just gotta mess around with the injector pulses at idle, and the IACV duty. Also setting the your properly helps aswell.

Re: (swiftstyles)
Cleaned out my TB,IACV and carbon inside IM.Also hooked up all coolant lines that run to TB car throttle is much more crisper but Idle issue is still there. I actually have a problem with some sort of voltage drop idle problem. Its when I press the brakes and I notice today that when I turned on my headlights my Idle dropped real low almost to cutoff but then it suddenly goes up and down. Until you let go the brake pedal then It idles pretty normanl 800rpm?
