Another "b18c swap ek question" thread
Ok, I've searched and mainly just want to make sure i'm not missing anything.
one thread says you need this and another thread says you need that, so i'm just trying to clarify.
obd2a b18c in 99 cx hatch.
so things I need.
1. 99-00 SI rear trans mount 50827-S04-N10
2. 99-00 SI drivers side mount 11910-P30-000
3. DOHC Del Sol a/c bracket, or can I keep my CR-v bracket that I have on there now that is holding my eg ac compressor?
4. Some threads say I need an SI shift linkage, and others say I need a GSR shift linkage. So can I keep my GSR linkage or do I need to buy an SI linkage?
5. Engine harness. Since my motor/ecu is obd2a, can I get a obd2a EX/HX harness and just wire into that or do I have to get a obd2b EX/HX/SI harness and either a obd2a adapter or a obd1 harness and a obd1 p72?
6. Need to wire Knock sensor, IAB solenoid, 2nd O2 sensor.
??
I just don't want to get to work thinkin I'm good and then find out that I missed something and have it sit in my stall or out back while I order something.
thanks

because of the way the OBD-2b harness is integrated into the cabin harness, you need to stick with an obd-2b harness. You will need to wire knock and IAB. The seondary O2 will be a trick since it will be routed back into the cabin harness.. The EX and SI both ran the secondary O2 into the cabin harness and out to the "hump" in the middle by the shift linkage. None of that wiring will be in your car however.
