Default All motor H22a Civic, What would you do to it with $1000?

I want to make my h22a eg all motor. What kind of mods would you do, if you wanted to see 12's and only had $1000? Is it possible?

for 1000 and 12's all motor? I dont know....

headertech header=350
ECU reprogrammed=150
big bore TB&skunk2 IM=500
that should get you low 13's

slicks and nos=12's and under 1000.

For $1000.

I would get a Cometic 1 layer headgasket to bump you up to 11:1 compression, some Type S cams, and a V-AFC with tuning.

That'll take care of your $1000 if not go under, and definitely get you into 12's on some slicks or radials.

Damnit, now you have me dreaming.

Slicks on racing wheels, good header, and good ECU program..... should run you about $1000.

I used 22x7x13 slicks on 13" Bogart racing wheels, a Hotshot 4-1 race header and ran open header, and a Spoon P13 ECU program. Ran a best of 12.6 @ 108 mph with that setup (numerous low 13s and high 12 sec runs, with a best of 12.6 and 1.8 60' time coming on the 6th run of the day). So, it's possible but it takes practice to get into the 12s.

just as reliable as stock. I'd definitely put 91 octane in though.

I'm going to my sponsor's house this week and do a 1 layer headgasket as well as remove the balance shaft belt for this coming friday.

I'll definitely let ya guys know

Edit -- You can also modify the factory 3 layer headgasket and use the top one with some copper spray. My friend (Timmay) on this board ran it on his B16 forever being 1 layer headgasket. He was at 10.0:1 CR stock, and was at 10.6:1 with the 1 layer headgasket.

VTEC on his 1st Gen B16 was significantly louder! Just FYI, with the JDM H22A factory being 10.6:1 CR, a 1 layer headgasket would bump you to a 11.1:1 compression.

That's a nice bump if you're also considering Type S cams too

lol, I'm not sure bro.

it's HondaSaver. The owner is just a very good friend of mine who does head work, build LS/VTEC's and such.

I'd definitely take off the balance shaft belt. If you're a lil hesitant to remove them, we'll have to see what the results are when I remove 'em from mine.

1 layer headgasket such as Mugen and such for B series (I'm not sure if they make them for H -- doubt it), but those are a 1 layer headgasket. Simple way of bumping up compression a little which those Type S cams will like.

Damn, I didn't know that. I knew they made other products and such but not the 2 layer headgasket. That'd probably bump them up to 10.8 or so considering 1 layer is 10" thousands of an inch.

Pretty much the same as milling the head, although you're not doing any perminant modifications to the head.

Just out of curiousity, What about nitrous, I never experienced or heard of many experiences with nitrous. What are your thoughts on that?
would it even be considered all motor???
