not going to happen unless you break into the motor and do internals......im sure you can figue out the internals you need....i was just letting you know that you cannot do it on a stock gsr block.

sleeve the gsr block.. bore to 2.0L, 12:1 CR on the pistons(conservative CR since you are daily driven), head work with fuly upgraded valvetrain, Custom cams(Jun3, Skunk2 stg3, or a new cam we will introduce next month:
the new billet cam we have tested at 8hp and6lbs tq over the skunk2 stg3.

Skunk2 or JG edelbrock intake manifold, custom header, hondata.. that should get you pretty close to your goals.

You slapped the GSR motor in your SI huh...make sure that you kept your B16 tranny. You could hit 12.9 with slicks and some nice cams and tuning. I'd go for Skunk2 stage II cams with valvetrain upgrade and manifold with JE 12:1 pistons.

Use your B16 pistons in the GSR block, you will yield a higher compression ratio. With that setup, I'm guessing around mid to low 14's.

no can do i blew the bottom end of the b16 thats y i had 2 do the swap.....the crank cracked in half and the piston is junk and the rod is in 5 pieces so def. no using that. my idea is new pistons and bottom end of the 1.8 once i slap on a nce flowin 1.6 head wit 5 angle valve job and pnp.

Well if you plan on doing at least 12.9 then I'd go with something a little better than OEM pistons, maybe high compression forged pistons, of course paired with some nice cams.

12:1 really isnt high comp, thats stock for an ITR.... 13+ now thats high compression.

1st off it was a guess i haven't done all my research but i think i would prolly realisticly got 12.5:1 im not that deep into it right now i just got the swap working on tunign and getting some quality bolt ons then im goign for a revamped 1.6 head and a built bottom end and see how that hooks up

ats 4.9 final drive
jun 3's / skunk2 2's / toda c's
valvetrain for cams
ctr pistons for 12.xx:1 compression
hondata and fuel pressure riser.
gut the car big time, maybe even some lexan sidewindows, light battery, cf hood, moonroof and trunklid, remove all power accessories.
tuning, tuning and more tuning... good luck bro!

ok thanx for the info but i think u didn't read the post correct...its a daily driver...no lexan....im in cali so i need air and i like power steering..this is not a pure drag car againa daily driver street car...second i have the cf hood....i like my moon roof and the trunk is gutted back seats out and carpet gone ...n more stripping than that light battery is a good idea but seriously how much am i gonna gain? not much weight loss and the trunklid i don't understand what u mean by that one.....im thinking a b16 head wit skunk2 2s and full valve train. then go to the bottom end some .25 oversized ctr pistons...and i dunno bout hondata i like mugen but i guess we will see ...how am i supposed to get ats 4.9 final drive? and what is my final drive now?

u need torque to get there. that means you have to resleeve the 1.8 block...there just isnt enough torque to push those numbers in that heavy *** car. resleeve the block, bore it out to 2 liters...and that's just the beginning. you'll have to blueprint the bottom end, new forged pistons, rods, balance everytthing, run big injectors, run hondata, and get that sick ats final drive for your tranny. with slicks, you MIGHT hit 12's.

seems everybody has a diff opinion on this....i am not gonna do it unless i know i can i don't wanna make 13s and then not be able to get 12s.....so btw how much does the ats cost ne ways? i understand bout the torque but i don't liek the might get to 12s i want ok this is how u r gonna get there kinda thing

I agree with owen

ctr pistons
big cams (pic your flava)
hondata
lsd connected to good tires

i dont think lower fd is needed

strip as much unneeded **** out. and you are ready to rock!

Ok so your saying you have a Gsr swap in your car right now but your going to put a 1.6 pnp head on it? I can understand that if the heads already done but if not why wouldn't you do the GSR head? Just my opinion.

Here is my opinion:
Victor X IM
Bigger injectors, fuel pump upgrade, FPR
ITR AEM CAI(V2)
JDM 4-1 header of your choice(2.5" collector)
Apexi N1 Exhaust
Test Pipe
Toda C Cams(springs and TI reatainers) and cam gears
Spoon 70mm TB(port matched with IM)
P&P head/bigger valves(port matched with IM and EM)
CTR Pistons(block guard IMO)
Eagle Rods
4.929 FD
Quaife LSD
DC Short Shifter
ACT Clutch(Xtreme PP, 4 puck disc)
JUN Chromoly lightened flywheel
A/C compressor and all lines and components removed, P/S pump and lines removed and replaced with manual steering rack, and rear spoiler removed(if there is one on your vehicle now)
gutted rear interior and spare tire removed
slicks of your choice
P28 with Hondata(conversion harness of your choice)
Fluidyne Radiator
Slotted Rotors, steel braided brake lines, brake fluid upgrade(all four just for safety reasons not added power).

I can go on but you only ask of 12's all motor so I'll just leave it at that. All other H-T members feel free to correct anything that I may have incorrectly included but I'm pretty sure of that list. You said no price range so I kept that in mind while making the list.

i think you could do it with a 1.8 block but your gonna need a lot more compression than 12:1 to make power to pull that much weight into a 12.9. Your gonna have loose more weight or build one bad *** motor. I believe there is some one on this board from my area that has a built 1.8 GSR in a EG hatch that is daily driven that runs 12.8 on street slicks i think his car weight about 2200 with him in it.

I got this from the drag racing forum. Read this guy's signature at the bottom and tell what you think about about that 00 Si. J&D Motorsports is there name. You can get more info from them.

Yeah there was a long discussion about this a while back. There was talk of having an all motor shootout at Englishtown, but I think they said that it would end up being too expensive. Too bad, that would have been nice
