Default Are all d series shortblocks the same?

Are they all the same in aspect to installing a Sohc vtec head (mini-me)?

The reason I ask is because I was wondering if there is a difference between the sohc blocks and the dohc blocks (zc) like waterpumps, timing belts, head studs, ect. when doing a mini-me conversion between the 2 blocks.

This is what I want to do:
d16a (zc) stock shortblock + D16y8 head

thanks

people still have single cams? blocks should be the same. I would check teeth on water pump and timing belt.

zc dohc block is slightly different, and will not allow bolt on for SOHC head without modifing the block and the head!
