I just taped off the orange wire. You also need to repin a12-a14 on the ecu side. Might be the other way around, regardless you need to take the pin from one and put it in the empty slot.

Re: AIC wiring 96dx to 99b16a2 help!!!!!!please!!!!! (97hb)
Hey guys...
I had the same issue. I put a b18b in my 97 hatch & I used my d16y7 wiring harness (dx motor).
My problem is:
I swapped a14 to a12 and wired the 2 wire connector properly etc.. Checked them both for voltage/signals etc.. Everything was fine...
Welll here we go... when I plug in the AIC it idles like a fucked up AIC... So I replaced the AIC with another one I had sitting around. Well this did not resolve the issue.
My car runs fine when the AIC is unplugged except for the fact that it is very jumpy when I drive it almost like a stall type... (NOT GOOD)
When i plug in my AIC it idles like **** but drives like a dream...
ANY IDEAS ????

get your self an EX wiring harness
uses a one piece harness and has only the 2 IAC.
and much easier to wire up
Spark Racing is selling some now, its worth the 165 IMO

I had the EXACT same problem that you guys had, but i figured out how to bypass it!
*This was used on a b16a2 into a 1996 DX coupe swap, while using the stock DX harness.*
First we only had the 2 wire IACV. We took the signal wire and tapped directly into the harness to the wire that goes to one of the injectors. (it doesn't matter which one, they all route out) Then I took the other wire and ran it to the ground on the ecu. I can't remember if it was A13or14.
I am running an OBD1 P30 ecu if this matters.
Hope this makes sense. If not.....email me at spektrum@furtivecomm.net and I'll try and explain it better. I would say post here, but I've been too busy lately to always check this board.

Just take the three wire plug and cut it off, use a two wire plug and match the wire colors. Leave the orange wire disconnected. Move A14 to A12.
That's it. Easy enough.
Here is the pinout for the A plug:
