Default AHH!! IACV issue or what now!!

OK I got my LSV in my hatch. Have had issue after issue. Finally got em all fiqured out, started the car. Everything seemed to be fine. Idled fine then it got warm and the idle dropped like it should. Then it started to surge. idle to about 2000 then back down and almost dies but surges back to 2000.
FYI - I Have rechecked all wiring and plug locations. I even looked at the wiring diagram and matched wire by wire.
The Throttle body has NO FITV. It also has no coolant bleed screw on the water neck on the head. How would I purge the air bubbles? (heard this causes surges) How do you test a IACV?

Purge air bubbles first, then proceed to checking IACV. When the car is cold, pop the radiator cap off, then start the car and wait for the thermostat to open. In this time frame, you'll see bubbles coming out and when the thermostat opens, the level should drop, then you can add more water, cap it, fill the reservoir, and see if problem persists.

OK so I got home and started the car with the cap off. I noticed the idle is actually quite high when cold. (2000 or so, no tach yet) Then it started to be very erratic again. I am not throwing any codes. Is it gonna hurt anything to let it idle like this on a fresh build? Just till ot will warm up and open the thermostat?
I did unplug the IACV while it was erratic and it seemed to be better and not go up and down. Still seemed high though.

Look under your TB. There is a device with a cap on it and 2 8mm bolt heads and/or 2 phillips head screws.

Take that cap off and there is a white thing with 2 slots on either side of the circle. Tighten that up with a flat head screwdriver. Snug will do.

Re-install cap and screws/bolts and restart car.

Problem will be gone.

(If that piece isn't under the TB its on the IM but its not the IACV its the Fast Idle Thermo Valve and its leaking. You just don't notice it right away because your IACV lets air in and when it shuts off the air leaking from your FITV then you get your surging.)
If it was hot out you would notice it almost immediately after start up.

he doesn't have a fitv. perhaps you have the map and tps sensor plugs mixed up? as for bleeding, you have to wait till the thermostat opens.

Ok I know the plugs are in the correct sensors.

I do infact have a FITV.

I let the car warm up and purged the coolant. Once it got warm the idle smoothed out to 800rpm and would go up to 1000 every 2 min or so, then right back to 800.

Also cleaned the IACV, throttle body, inner TB ports and rotor.

So it seems to idle very high at 22-2400 when cold (got a tach) the surges from 1000-2200 when it is just starting to warm up, then smoothes out once it heats up.

Also, I have now found out that I cannot get the car into ANY gear. Seems like it almost gets there but then I hear a clunk and its not in gear!!!!!! GSR linkage good bushings (see sloppy linkage post) in a 97 civic hatch LSV.

I still recommend doing what I said and tightening that up. It will solve some issues and if not at least you can cancel that out if it doesn't fix it. I have done that to at least 6 cars that had idle fluctuation.
