Acura Legend swaps
OK guys, here's the deal;
My roomate recently purchaced an 88 acura legend with the C27A1 v-6 engine. A week after he bought it the timing belt broke, and now that we replaced the belt, we have 0 compression in 3 of the 6 cylinders. This engine's hosed!!! So, it's time for something new.....
Does anyone know of an engine from a JDM or newer model Honda / Acura that would bolt in without any major reconstruction or adaptor building / purchacing? More power than stock would be nice, but not at all nessisary. He's probably going to sell the car after we get it running anyway.
also, any sugestions for a supplyer / importer That could get one of these engines. I searched through all of the importers that I know of and they only do 4 cylinders.
Any Ideas would be helpfull
Thanks
edit: Keep in mind that we can get another C27A1 from a local junkyard for $450.00, but who knows how many miles are on it or how badly it's been abused.

I guess if you're not asking a question about a Civic or an Integra, don't bother asking on this site.
insult the people who may know.
how about you bump it a few times before you start saying stupid **** like that.

Re: Acura Legend swaps (KAMiN)
google owns you
http://www.legend-forum.com
Specifically:
http://www.legend-forum.com/vbulleti...ht=engine+swap
I suggest a Type-II motor swap:
what Legend do you have?
well you can do a Type II motor swap
Type I - 200HP 210 lb-ft
Type II - 230HP 206 lb-ft
But newer C series engines like the Acura CL/TL Type-S engines are likely possible...look into teh engine mounts etc...
