Accord V6 in a Civic.............
Hey ya'll i'm new around these parts. As most of you can tell by the name i'm a Nissan guy (but I like Honda/Acura's sometimes. Just too many of them running around.
Anyway, I heard rumors about a Civic in NYC that has a Accord V6 engine in it. Has anyone heard of this swap being done? I was thinking that it would weight more than a H22, which is already front heavy on Civics so the car should handel kind of shitty.

I doubt anyone has done that swap.
The Motors are completely different. He would have to fabricate parts up the ***. Not to mention cutting and welding the hell outta the frame and I bet it still would barely clear the hoodline. Besides. The Horsepower output isnt enough to justify the swap. Also, Its an Automatic...and that would make it even harder.

Re: Accord V6 in a Civic............. (Spoon EJ)
Ok, I have seen this V6 Civic Saturday night at the street drags here in NYC. It is very really and hard to belive. The engine hardly fits in the engine bay, infact it rubs the fireway! So far the guy says he's running a 175 shot of Nitrous, but is planing to get it turbocharged durring the fall.
It ran againts a 5.0 Stang with work and blew him away. Like I though earlier, the car is front heavy. Infact when he shifts hard you can hear the coils hitting each other.
Spoon EJ, I know of Marcos Acosta son's S2000 powered 2001 Civic coupe. The car looks pretty plain if you couldn't see the huge slicks out back and knew that the complete car is made out of Carbon Fiber.

Anything can be built with enough money, time, and knowledge. It isn't a project i would ever attempt though. IMHO the car would never handle properly.
