Call up Steve at Honda Motors Online....818 723 2572 or Jeff Nishi at Liberio 1 800 717 6194 They will help you to save some money....4700..hmmm pretty unrealistic for a b18c1. It will cost a little more than that..unless you are doing it yourself. You gotta account for things that you will need..sensors, belts, gaskets, clutch, mounts, fluids, custom linkage (if needed) etc. Expect the unexpected.

I've spent about 4600 on my EG swap. That include shipping cost and some extras: Nology, MSD SCI, DC Sport headers, stage one axles, AC flushing and recharging, Oil, custom 2.5 exhaust, VCN 1000, spoon, high flow cat. I think B18C would cost more and you'd would not get many extras. And you'd have to plan for the unexpected. Believe you me, there will be many.

With an Eg?? WRONG!! A Crx would be cheaper to swap in a b series...because of the custom fabrication..welding..cutting...etc. But the Eg seems to have been made for the h22...with the Place Racing, Hasport mounts that is. They make it a drop in install.
H22a=2290 shipped
b18c1=3396 shipped
Hasport h22/eg mounts=370 b18/eg mounts=250-350
Plce Racing h22/Eg mounts=400 b18/eg mounts=400
Eg/h22=alot cheaper....and extra money to buy performance parts.
The h22 weighs 40lbs more than the b18c1...and handles pretty much the same with good suspension.

Re: (GSRslowandswap)
What ever. I did the whole thing myself. As a daily driver, it offers much more touqe than any Bs I've ever driven. Redlight to redlight I love the way it kicks V8's asses. So if you're just blindly in love with B's it's your choice, but for me after doing this swap, I'm really liking what the H puts out.

Re: (GSRslowandswap)
Yup.. I completely agree. I'd personally stick with a b-series swap into a hb. I'm not going to say that the b-series is a better motor, but it's a better swap for this car. There are MANY advantages to sticking w/ a b-series over an h.. I did an h-series swap into an eg a while ago and it's a pita, not to mention there are downsides...
First off, for an h-series you have to remove the tranny bracket on the framerail, not a big deal but a pita if you want to remove it. You also have to cut a nice big hole under the center console to mount the shifter assembly.. Not to mention the oil pan sits nice and low, custom axles, tranny is worse than a b-series, mounts are rough as hell for a daily driver, can't do **** on the timing belt side of the motor..
Another big problem is that the place racing tranny mount that has the 2 14mm bolts that go into the subframe tear right out after a while. There are other downsides to the swap but I'll end it there...
Now the obvious advantage is the great low end and torque. Several friends have h-series swaps in hb's and integras and I'm not going to lie, that it sure is nice having torque everywhere. But.. you could just build a 2l b-series for all the extra hassles of the swap.. IMO it's a good swap if you know what your getting into, but for most people I'd say just stick w/ a b-series.
