About to to pick up my first gen B16. any ideas?
basically i want to know if there is anything i should look for that would make it a dead give away that the motor is crap. i will be able to notice some things but probably not all. luckilly i am able to check it all out b4 the credit card trasnaction goes through. so any ideas would be great. thanx

check the oil, see if it looks dark and dirty, if it is then the oil hasn't been changed in a while, pull the spark plugs, they will tell you how the motor is running, pull the valve cover, look and see if it is all junked up with oil deposits. This will be a good start to help find a decent motor.
