Default 99 ek Hb with GSR swap,, keep power steering or ditch it?

wassup, im in the middle of droppin in my GSr engine finally and power steering can lick my ***** as it is, its a **** to hook up and looks mean style gay in the engine bay. i see alot of pictures of peoples cars with swaps and many dont have power steering. is it really that much of a bitch to turn without it? will it **** up the rack and pinion gears without it? just curious to hear from those that dont have it and want to know what their views are. thanks

ditch it. you'l' get used to it and you can feel the road better. it's easy to turn while the cars moving. as for turning when the car's not moving....well, at least you'll bulk up your shoulders. we civic doesn't have p/s, and i'm very happy without.

Hey bro.. U dont need power steering...Take it from someone who has a 96 civic dx swapped gsr..no ac, power steering, no catback..this is one of my puppies..this car dynoed at 224hp to the wheel all motor..its got everything fro performance chipped to port and polished...take it from me, jes becuz u add a couple of bolt ons doesnt mean ur car is going to be fast...if u really want it to boom, go turbo, Hondata or NOS...right now im swapping my 99 civic lx with a b16b..its pretty much done jes having trouble finding a harness...im also working on my wifes Nissan Sentra.. tring to swap that with the SR20DET GTI-R..a lil trickier than a honda or acura swap...but it can be done...if ur really serious about racing, leave ur power steering out..peace out bro

Get rid of it. I personally like the feel of the road without power steering. Plus it reduces weight, makes tad more power, and makes the swap even easier.
