99 civic hatch project motor Trans swap questions
Hello,
Been in the car scene since forever, this will be my first swap however I'm curious if anyone has done this yet. Plan is I'm getting my 1990 da integra back from my in laws the body has not been taken care of and is rotting away. Now I just picked up a 99 ek for 100 bucks but it's auto and the motor has been overheated multiple times. Then the head got destroyed by previous owner when the compression tester adapter got stuck in one of the spark plug holes in the head. So I want to take the b18a1 and ls 5 speed harness and all and flip it to the 99 thoughts and suggestions are welcome just wonder if anyone's done it or close to this swap will be cable tranny so I won't have to plumb the master cylinder for clutch just have to deal with ignition switch and lighting. Thanks in advance for your advice

Can't use any of the wiring

Find a hydro tranny and save yourself the headaches
Use the 99-00 Si t bracket and block mounted timing belt mount.
99-00 Si shift linkage.
All DAs use a cable tranny. You can use the axles and intermediate shaft as a set though, but you will need the driver's side axle seal for a '90 - '93 Integra.

You can use the DA shift linkage. I'm using DA linkage and modified (cut narrower) gsr shifter in my 97 hatch.
Definitely source a hydro B series tranny though, a cable conversion wouldn't be worth the cost/effort.
