99-00 si axles different than 97 gsr axles?
i heard this today and this might be my problem, tho i was under the impression they are the same.
i can't figure out my damn vibration problem as it goes away when i raise the coilovers....like the axles bind a bit under acceleration unless the car is sky high; it's very frustrating because i've tried it all as far as i know.

that's what i thought, but evidently the 99-00 si ones are a hair shorter and are the right pieces for this swap.
the gsr units work fine for eg but the ek has a bit of a different width setup so the shorter axles are ideal to prevent binding. i have those axles coming from rt tuning and we will see!

i have not heard of any issues. I have always used either ITR/GSR/B16A and mix and matched them on all my EK B-series swaps. I am also pretty low as well, I have not expiranced any binding or issues with joints.
Maybe what you got was Auto driveshaft, which can be tad different from what I recall.
download the manual and check the lenghts in them:

adrian, do the axles you use always have a rubber donut damper on them? the two sets of GSR axles i've tried have not had that...
spec is 475-480mm median length, so there is some variance there. i will see what happens when i install these new units.

the axles were here when i came back from my trip and they seem to be the same as the others spec wise lol
we will see when i install them, they are new not remans (cardone select) so maybe that will be the difference...
