98 DX with 94 Gsr swap...obd1 p72
i just put a 94 Gsr in my buddies 98 DX hatch...he is running obd2-1 jumper with obd1 p72 ecu...and when revving the car breaks up really bad...its throwing no codes...but check engine light is stuck on...i put a jump wire on the 2 prong plug on pass side above ecu...and i know its in there correct...but check engine light is still stuck on (no flashing) and car breaks up really bad......anyone?

Re: (tomtomloc)
ecu isn't the problem...we put stock ecu in...and it still breaks up at 3 grand and above...
also...the car is NOT throwing a single code...NONE whatsoever!!!
but the tach does jump around after 3grand...it bounces all over the place

do an engine balance test
with the engine runing
pull one spark plug wire of at a time and pay attention to how rough,or much power is lost at each cylinder if one of the cylinder doesn t make a difference thats the problem area
also every plug wire should ark when ur pulling the plug
