98 civic HX w/ B16 wiring?????
My friend bought a B16 out of a wrecked 2000 Si. He has a 97 civic hx 2dr. He sent the car to get wired and the guy who was doing it didn't know how to do it so he sent it out to his friends shop. His friend cut the wiring harness right by the plugs. He heard two diff. stories on how to do this. Use the Si harness but someone else told him to use the HX harness. What is the right way to do this and what is needed to do this. If he needs the hx harness he has to buy a new one cause the old one is ruined. Thanks.

Just use the HX harness... It's already got all your VTEC wiring... Just rework it to fit the motor... off the 99 Si engine harness cut the KS plug off and wire it into the HX loom... Pretty straight foreward.... You really could use the 99-2000 Si loom but you would have to repin the plug under the dash... You'll need a harness jumper to run the OBD2b 99-2000 Si P2T ECU... I would just get a jumper and run a chipped P28 tho... If you want you could also run the 96-98 GSR computer... You may not like it cuz it's VTEC is a little low... And even tho it has IAB control you won't get a code for it.. It's just what you wanna do... Good Luck
