d16y8 into 92 eg hatch what dist to use???
I just picked up a 92 Hatch that has a D16Y8 with no ECU or distributer. I was told to use a dist from a 92-95 EX/Si and a P28 from the same. I got both of them and the dist will not line up, but it will plug n. The flanges for the bolts are in different spots and are a little too high, so any type of help will be appreciated. My 92 Hatch has a 5spd and so did the car the dist/ECU came out of. Since my friend was wrong about the Dist is he also wrong about the ECU? I would appreciate any assistance anyone could give me. THanks in advance.

since you'll be running d16y8, i believe you'll also need a dizzy from a d16y8. as for the ecu, you can either use the p28 (u won't need conversion harness since it's obd1) or p2p (d16y8 ecu, then u'll need to use conversion harness according to what yr of ecu u gonna use, 96-98 is obd2a and 99-00 is obd2b)
