97 ITR in to 94 CX - Wiring problems.
96 GSR harness
97 JDM ITR engine
94 Civic CX
What changes if any should I do to the harness?
Motor is in, car will not turn over. Fuel pump cycles, check engine lights, no crank..... Still have a couple harness connectors unplugged (can't find a home for them, I would assume a couple of them for GSR and not ITR)
Any suggestions?

The wireing is idenical for the itr and gsr. You need to find where the wire are from then i can help. you have to wire in vtec ground/vtec selonoid/vtec oil pressure/knock sensor/ and theonly diff is the secondary intake selonoid.

use your cw harnes and run the wire for vtec green and yellow. vtec oil presure to d6 and know sensor to d3. you might also have to run a p72 comp, since you'll be running obd1
have you gotten your engine yet?
not sure if i answerred your question so if i haven't email me jzeien1@home.com

Yes, use your CX engine harness and add the Vtec wires. You'll also need to reprogram your CX ecu for the new motor. Check the http://www.hybrid.honda-perf.org 5gen tech page for help.

Re: 97 ITR in to 94 CX - Wiring problems. (Trey)
Maybe you guys didn't understand my question. I couldn't use the CX harness because of the difference in plugs on the ITR motor (injectors, distributor, etc.)
The motor is in and installed with the 96 GSR harness plugged in to the factory in cabin harness with the necessary wires added......
The engine will not crank.... wierd... good battery....
There is a 3 wire connector that is not plugged in near the major engine harness plugs on the passenger side strut tower. Other than that, most plugs have homes.
Any ideas?

3 conductor is for the CFK and other EPA B.S.
re-check and make sure you have the tranny ground strap attached to the pass. upper mount and see if low-current starter wire goes +12 when you try to crank.............

isn't there a bigger problem because he's using obd I car and obd II engine/harness? or does it not make a difference?
i'm not really sure... but i'm looking at a similar thing.

What ECU are you using?
Is your ECU plugged in all the way?
Is the distributor plug, plugged in all the way?
You steppin on the clutch before turning the ignition key?(lol)?
Check your ground wires ?
(you should have 2 of them: tranny-frame rail & valvecover-rad support)
Cam and ingnition timing set to TDC?
All fuses in place?
Have some yoohoo?
If you're using an OBD2 ECU, do you have the oil pump crank sensor wired up?
You shoulda went 100% OBD1, there's still time!
Get rid/sell or trade, all of your OBD2 parts (distributor, injectors, ECU, engine harness) ....and get OBD1 B-series parts. You still need to wire up VTEC though if you have a non-VTEC EG. - that is if you want to do all of this....
