96 civic fuel pump problem plz help

Default 96 civic fuel pump problem plz help

96 honda civic coupe with b20 swap stock with stock fuel pump so the problem i been having is when i turn the car off I instantly loose fuel pressure i kno this becuz i have a fuel pressure guage while idling its at about 37 psi now after i shut the. car off an try to start back up its taking very long and fuel pressure will not build untill i crank her over for about 55 secs so dnt kno if this is fuel pump related or suttin else i also replaced fuel filter dizzy an an still the same thing also is taking longer to start as the days keep pasing once car is started i have no issues besides its throwing a code for po169 on hondata also known as code 47 i belive thanks in advance realy could use the advice

Possible bad FPR, if you ruled out a fuel leak.

thanks for the response thats so werid becuz my fpr has been acting weird an also wen i pull the vacumm line the full pressure goes up to 40 psi dnt kno if that was normal but will b replacing that an see from there also now fuel leak how would i tell that i kno wen car is on fuel pressure stays the exact same but soon i **** it off instantly goes to zero if that helps

also was wondering if when i just put the key to access should the fuel pressure guage read anything or only while cars running an if so how would i go about checking for fuel leak

i do not smell raw fuel so that a plus an even better becuz i thought when the key was on access it primes the pump so it would build pressure thanks again an will b changing fpr then if that dnt work fuel pump if that dnt work ill ask for more advice thank yu I appritiate it

ok so i replaced the fpr an im still having the same problem,long start up and losses pressure soon i shut it off would you suggest i do the fuel pump or maybe this is something else.
