Seems like a rare combination so you might have a tough time getting feedback or pics on this. What's wrong with just going in there yourself? There really isn't a "best way" I think..

i recently swapped a 2000 it into my 99 civic si and i tried a gsr aem intake. It doesn' t fit. aem makes an intake specifically for this type of swap. Its under their hybrid selection. its not smog legal in california but since you live in md im sure it would work for you. I think it runs about $200

grab a hacksaw or sawzall, some couplers, and some clamps. modify it the best you can.......would you like the techs at aem to hold your hand while you cut up the wrong intake to fit it on your car?

last night my mechanic got it to fit wit just a little bit of squeezing but no modifications. Onlything i had to take out was the brackets for the stock air box.

The intake piping seems to be bigger than the throttle body

Now I need to find a easy way to patch this whole in my fender

Over all this intake was worth the $60 because I noticed a immediate difference over the little 2.50 inch short ram that I had on there before.
