Default 96 LS motor into 93 teg problem.

OK we swapped a 96 ls motor that came from a car with an auto transmission into a 93 gs 5spd. Anyway, when we first started it up it idled for about 30 minutes then it settled down to about 1k rpms and then took it for a test drive. Drove fine up to the gas station, then part of the suspension came apart due to a stripped bolt. Now a week later and we got the suspension problem fixed and when we tried driving, the idle comes down to almost 0 then jumps back up then back down till the car cuts off. And while driving, the tach will jump and sputter a little almost like its misfiring. Also, it will only rev to about 4 or 5 k before it feels like a fuel cut. The question is, we are using the intake manifold and TB from the 96, but still running the 93 ecu. We had to extend the wires for the map sensor back the fhe firewall, but other than that, everything else plugged right in. Any reason why the 96 IM or 93 ecu could be causing this problem? Or what else could it be? Also, the plugs fouled out immediately.

bump, come on help! i know there are 100 things it could be but what would be most likely? we swapped over the engine harness from the 93 and are running a 96 motor. so obd1 to obd2. can the 93 ecu not run the 96 motor or what? like i said the only thing we changed were running like two or 3 wires to the map sensor, we retained the original map sensor and thats it.
