First of all 96+ civics came w/ 1.6L engines, not 1.5. Second , I'm doing the same thing... except I have a 99 hatch. I have the motor in and have a GSR harness... but it is a bitch to figure out , kinda. I mean I think I can hook the harness to the ecu and all that and all the basic connections to make it run.... but I dont 'know if all my gauges and stuff will work..... anyone else have input on this?

Re: 95 gsr in 1996 ek (c_spec)
You can not use the Integra harness in your 96+ civic.
The integra harness is a two piece design, the civic is a one piece.
If you want to run an OBD 1 motor in your OBD 2 car, you are gonna have to run an OBD 1 ecu (chipped is good).
You can use your stock harness (or a harness from an EX civic: better)...just extend the wires to match up. You will have a few extra plugs since OBD 2 has some sensors that your motor will not...no big deal if you run an OBD 1 ecu.
Any of this make sense?
