you should wait and start with a b18c1.
the b16 has no torque, and to reach 14's with the b18b its gonna require alot.

I agree with Kamin but if it is really out of reach then. In a real stretch go with the B18B.... If you can get a B16 tranny for it then that will be cool.. One of my friend's has a STOCK B18B block, GSR head, CTR intake cam, sprockets, chipped P28, and a VAFC... On slicks in his EG he ran a 13.43@103... It's nothing really special but I think it's pretty good for a totally stock bottom end... He raced my friend's GSR/EG on the street and they pull pretty even... I wouldn't go with the B16 tho... I would just stick with a 1.8L... Like we said the #1 chose would be a B18C... There's many different routes to building one. Good Luck

No i wont selece one, they arent gonna work
you should save your money for a GSR motor.
TRUST ME, if you want 14's the b18b wont get you there unless
1) you put a vtec head on, wich will DRASTICALLY reduce reliability
2) boost it, wich wont make it reliable

and the b16 wont make it there without boost.

sorry man you need to save and get a C1.

and JDMspecEG6 the b18 is actually FASTER with the LS transmission. because of the higher amount of torque it spins the tires too much with a b16 transmission. they put a LS tranny on a ITR motor and it was like 3 tenths faster in a 1/4.

Yea I know the tranny Kamin... I was just sayin that's what my friend has with the LSVTEC... I should have stated that better... It's all good i still agree with you... B18C
