94 si hatch/ls swap - antifreeze leaking from frame rail??????
hows it going Honda tech?
ive gone thru 250 pages trying to find an answer to my question but nothing has come close at all.
I have a 94 si hatch with an ls swap in. it started to leak antifreeze. I ended up replacing 2 hoses behind the motor, one hose going to the heater core and one hose on the intake manifold.
I start the car up and now I have antifreeze pissing out my passenger side frame rail! I read somethings about the heater core possibly leaking but I checked the floor on the passenger side and its bone dry. I checked all the other hoses on the back of the motor and they all seem to fine?
Has anyone else ever had this happen? I need my car for work but I don't want to drive it leaking antifreeze the way it is. thanks in advance!

You have a 2 radiator hoses, 3 heater core hoses, 4 hoses from the iacv to the throttlebody then to the head.
Let the car cool down, then refill and close cap, start engine and identify the hose that is busted. At this point, and all this coolant wasting, I would suggest replacing them. ALL.

ive done this since the beginning of the week. I replaced the hoses I seen that were leaking , ive laid under the car while it was running to see if I could spot another leak but I don't see anything at all. all the other hoses look good , no dry rot or cracks/splits.
is it possible for my heater core to be leaking just not leaking into the car?

Sorry, went back to working on my 5spd conversion.
Jack and support the car, clean everything nice and dry, top off coolant if its low and check the reservoir. Now run the engine, get a flash light ( don't give a **** if its daylight) check all hoses that have coolant. I have a feeling it could be a coolant line running to the iacv.

re: 94 si hatch/ls swap - antifreeze leaking from frame rail??????
something similar happened to me once. Leaks down side of car. The hoses from the firewall LOOKED fine, and I couldnt seen anything leaking directly from there, but when I just gave up trying to figure out where the leak was coming from and just replaced it, the leak stopped.
Point is, the leak could be super sneaky, so just the replace hoses from the most likely place it's coming from, despite what is visible from your vantage point.

im going to buy the other heater hose 2morrow and see what happens... thanks for all the help ill let you guys know the out come.... quick question tho... since its a 94 civic do I just use civic heater hoses or should I get integra heater hoses cause of the swap. the hose I had already bought was for the civic and seemed a little smaller then the one I took but it fit.

replaced the other heater hose and it seems to have worked. I inspected the hose I had taken off and did not see anything wrong with it. I used hose clamps in stead of the stock clamps and I haven't seen any leaks yet.
thanks for all the help!
