Default 94 integra Ls swap to gsr b18c

so my brother in law is selling his 94 integra Ls 5 speed manual for 500$ the motor has a knock and a blown head gasket. I recently swapped a jdm motor in my 97 Kia Sephia dohc so swapping motors isn't an issue for me. So I found a jdm gsr motor in california from ichibanjdm for 2grand and was looking to do this swap. What do I need to know before jumping in to this project? I've always loved the Acura and never had the opportunity to own one. Is there anything I should know before moving forward. Thanks everyone.

A budget.

Look if the motor have repair. If yes, left the b18b on there (repair short block), and do the LS/ vtec head swap. Throw b18c pistons on it and tune with a chipped vtec obd1 ecu. Put all other bolt ons.

obd1 p72 ecu, obd1 gsr vtec harness OR run the additional wiring for the IAB and VTEC that is needed for the gsr. Everything else you can reuse since its an integra.

Dropping a low mileage jdm motor is less of a headache for me, because if I did all that to the existing motor I would still have the old motor in the car but withy some upgrades. Plus when I do the swap I'm going to put a stage 2 exedy clutch in. So I was considering buying the proper P72 OBD1 but I was told that I can just wire up the vtec to my existing ECU. Now you can can call me a novice on car terms but what is the IAB? I know that there are three wires on the vtec that will need to be hooked up. The vtec solenoid power switch, vtec pressure switch and a ground wire. So there is more that needs to be done working wise? Please let me know or just give a little more detail. Thanks for the help

So I have to drive down to we're the car is to check to make sure what ecu is in it. But would it be easier to just get the correct ecu for the car? I can wire the current one if need be but what would I search for for the correct gsr ecu?

So I have another question. So the vehicle is a LS 5 speed so it's I guess you would call it an LS transmission. The motor is non vtec. I'm putting in the B18B gsr motor in. Could I get the exedy stage two clutch for a b series? Or should I get something else maybe specific to the transmission that's in the car? I found a good deal on a new exedy stage two clutch kit for 128$ for the b series. I need to try and get a clutch ordered before the motor gets here. Thanks again for the help.

So I ment to say that I'm putting in a B18C into the vehicle and it currently has the B18B in it so I think I may have answered my own question that I can put a stage 2 clutch that is a b series clutch into the transmission. Correct me if I'm wrong.
