94 H22 into 99 EJ9(EK)-Wont Start:(
I have just put a 94 H22 into my 99 EJ9(EK). Its cranking over but not firing...
Plugs are getting fuel. Spark plugs sparking. Compression 150psi, piston 2 only 60psi https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif Main relay clicking on ignition turn on. Timing checked. Plugged into s300 and only getting one error code for atmospheric sensor. OBD2 loom has crank speed sensor left floating. MAP sensor reading -1.3psi +-0.1, tried starting with MAP sensor disconnected. IACV blanked off on SK2 IM. ECU light is also flashing on the dash when ignition on. Video of cranking Please Help.... |

I believe so, we ended up depining the obd2 ek loom distributor connector and using the prelude obd1 connector.
I got the wiring information from: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-...pping-3202418/ |

Have a quick question, I’m having trouble getting my h22 swap into my 89 crx hf it’s just such a tight fit. Should I remove the harmonic balancer or anything else and put it on later after it’s in to aliveate it being such a pain? Any help would be super appreciated thanks |

Re: 94 H22 into 99 EJ9(EK)-Wont Start:(
So now it starts but.............I have an injector error code on s300/Engine tries to cut out when revved.
i) So I originally ran the stock 345cc injectors with 10ohm resistors on each of the ground tails from the injector connector to try and mimic what the resistor box does, this gave an injector fault code and poor engine running. ii) I then ran the same setup minus the resistors but still had a fault code and poorly running. iii) On putting saturated OBD2 injectors in the error code disappeared, but these were spare off a D14/D16 so the idle/revs still not happy. So I'm sure I need OBD2/saturated/high impedance injectors at 345cc ish range. I did think ATR injectors but the H22A7 runs 290cc. Note: I'm going turbo after few hundred miles. Advise very much welcomed |

Did you ever re do a compression test? I remember you saying you had mentioned 60psi at cyl 2

Manged to rig up some k20 310 injectors but have the same bad idle. Gradually increasing the rpm its ok but any instant rpm increases it bogs and pretty much cuts out. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/honda-t...7421aeac18.png S300 error codes |
