okay, im havin major issues we got the car started runnin in limp mode was throwing tps, iat, iacv codes. got those cleared up, car was running great, i got back in and revved it to around 6500 and all of a sudden the tach jumped way up, the speedo jumped around, then it cut off, now it only started like 1 in ten times, everytime i hit the key the speedo jumps, when it does start it cuts off immediately, or it runs for a few seconds. then all of a sudden it started a few times ran perfectly!! then back to the other crap, can anyone help me i cant figure this out! has anyone had this issue?

sounds like a short in either the ecu or in the wiring somewhere, what engine harness are you using?

im running a 92 ex/si harness, ive ruled out the ecu, i tried the ecu in a buddys coupe with the same swap and it runs it beautifully. when it first screwed up it did throw code #15 for like 10-15 seconds then it never flashed it again, code #15 is the ignition output signal, any ideas on if this could be the issue?

...Check your grounds. Also, do you have an alarm? It might be screwing with your ignition wires. .... Def check out the harness plugs to the distributor. Maybe something wasn't plugged in all the way. Pm me if you need more help.

coil or igniter in the distributor is probably going bad.

i know its coming back from the dead, but i forgot to put what the issue is, and i hate dead end threads that dont tell u what the prob was. anyway the problem was that we forgot to tighten the ground at the thermostat, bolt was in but loose, tightened it up, now she runs like a raped ape
