94 EG hatch w/ JDM B18b will not start, help or ideas please.
Hello everyone
This may have been talked about before but here you go.
I have 94 civic hatch with a JDM B18b... I did the full swap all by myself so far and now need some help...
It will start to turnover but will not start.
There is some plugs on the harness that are not plugged in but there is no plugs on the motor for these to plug into so that should not be the issue.
Now this could be the issue but unsure.
I have a p7h-003 ECU that goes with the motor but my jumper harness is not in yet... But I was told that I could use a obd1 ECU just as a way to start the car not to drive. So I Tried and that as you can tell did not start the car...
It try's to start but just will not. I know the normal stuff like. Spark plugs or the dizzy but other then that. What should I look at? It is possible that I have the plugs for the Throttle positioning sensor and the map sensor mix up Because they look identical could that be it?
Thanks in advance

Thanks, UPDATE.
I finally got it to start had a bad ground....
Then I finally got my jumper harness and have the right ECU in.
and it started great and and seemed to run even and nice with a higher then normal idle. And it had a check engine light so i check the light flash codes.
one was the O2 sensor. I know about that one because i did not put that in, and the other one was TPS. which i understand because i had to get a new one because the other one was broken and it needs to be calibrated.hen
BUT it started...
then I unhooked the battery, cleaned up and when in the house for the night.
Then today i hooked the battery back up and tried to calibrate the TPS but was not getting and reading on my voltmeter so i tried to start the car and it would NOT start. So i just do not understand. IT started all day yesterday with no trouble and now it will not start at all..... HELP !!!!!

glad you got it running. i was going to say the ground on the wiring harness. its usually what gets every one. and fyi having the map and tps switch would still allow the car to start.
