Default 93HB D16Z6 daily driver swap

This is my first post on this forum. I am working on my first honda and just need some info. I have a 93 civic hatch shell with no engine or tranny in it. I plan on dropping in a D16Z6 from a friend. Some of the things i would like to know are: 1.Is the red line higher than the none VTEC engine.
2.Are there any things I should look out for other then the normal problems.
3.I have never owned a VTEC engine, so any info you have would be great.
This is just for a daily driver with a few extras on it. Nothing really special. So keep that in mind. I have done a few swaps before including a B16 into a 95 hatch, so I dont see any problems with this one. But if you have had any problems with yours or know of any way to inprove on this project please let me know.

Thank you if you have any more info that would help. PS I am a little curious why I was bumped to this section. Did the Z6 not come from a civic in the first place. The engine was swaped to a LS and then removed now i have the shell. Just asking.

the vtec doesnt make a diff when u drive its just a timing issue.........the d16z6 came from a 92-95 civic ex or a 92-95 civic si hatch i dont understand what ur saying about the section if it had ls mounts u mght have to put ur d mounts back in

Yes, thats what I was thinking. I had this post in the 92-00 section and then it was moved to this section just asking. But yes I have to buy new engine mounts because when they removed the Ls they didn't take the time to put the old ones back . But I will probably just pick some up out of a junk yard or something for cheap I don't like the way the after market ones are a little to stiff for a daily driver in my opinion any way. Thats for your help once agian.

I guess what I am wondering is why my 93 si that came with the d16z6 from the factory was moved to the hybrid section. No big deal I was just wondering.
