93 civic with 97 b18c1 obdII will it work?
story goes, a friend of mine blew his civic motor. lost compression in cyl 1&4, honda wants $3100 CAN to rebuild. therefore he is going to do a swap, he found a complete 94 gsr swap in up state new york and he also found a 97 gsr swap in canada where he is situated, for a $1000 less. the question i`m asking will the
obd II motor work without any problems considering he gets all parts necessary to do the swap. any help will greatly appreciated. did a search did not find any deffinate answers

You can drop the full OBDII swap into the car including the engine harness and simply use an OBDI P72 ECU. It will be a direct bolt-in and mostly plug and play other than the normal wiring associated with a GSR in a Civic: add VTEC if it's not a VTEC, rewire to 4 wire O2 if it's doesn't have one, add the knock and IAB

Yes but if you reuse the OBDII distributor, injectors and alterantor they will need to be repinned/rewired to plug into the harness. You can change those parts out to 94-95 Integra OBDI parts also to make it easier.
