92cx hatch with 94 vx engine and wiring harness. Need wiring insight.
I've recently finished a swap of a 94 d15z1 from a VX into a 92 Civic CX.
I am using the CX chassis wiring, with the VX engine wiring harness.
I have the EGR box, 5-wire O2 sensor, and non Cali P07.
I haven't wired it up completely yet and was wondering if you guys have any advice on the wiring.
I have some pictures of what I'm looking at... and also dug through the factory service manual and found some helpful wiring stuff.
Everything is plugged up wiring wise except the 2 pin EGR box on the firewall and the 6 pin plug on the shock tower.
Here is the EGR solenoid valve. The colors are Black with yellow stripe and solid red. There is no plug for this on the VX engine harness so I'm guessing it is normally plugged into the VX chassis harness.
Here is the shock tower plug, noticed there is the extra one on the vx harness.
It has the following wire colors: white, orange/blue, white/blue, orange, white/black, and yellow/white. I know this is related to the 5 wire o2.
Now in the shop manual I found two different things so I copied and pasted them to a jpg.
First this one is the complete ecu wiring for the d15z1 engine in the VX (its a large picture, sorry 56k)

and here are the ecu pinouts that go with that diagram for the D15z1
Ok now for the question. If you look in the link to the z1 wiring diagram, you'll see one thing labeled "EGR Control Solenoid Valve" with Black/Yellow and Orange/Blue.
There is also another "purge cutoff solenoid valve" with the colors Yellow/Black and red.
The egr box on the firewall is yellow/black and red, which matches the purge wires, but I thought it would go with the EGR control solenoid.
I'm a bit confused here lol.
Anybody done this swap correctly? What do I need to move around?
