92 VX, JDM D15B/P08 ECU....02 sensor question
this is how the situation goes. i have a 92 civic VX, i have a JDM D15B ready to drop in and an automatic JDM P08 ecu for it (the motor was originally auto)
what i did was this:
TESTED THE ECU'S TRANSMISSION COMPATIBILITY:
to test the ECU's transmission of origin, i plugged the auto ecu in my 5-speed vx, and checked for codes if any. it threw:
-Auto lockup solinoid
-Electronic Load Detected
CONVERTED TO 5-SPEED:
-desoldered RP17 on the back (havent had the oppertunity to test it out)
WHAT I NOTICED:
i did NOT throw a O2 sensor code. meaning the 5-wire 02 sensor was relaying info to the 1-wire 02 sensor ECU.
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW:
im going to depin the 1-wire plug from the D15B's sensor, i need to know which position this wire has to go into the ECU at, and which position on the 5-wire plug goes there.
THINGS THAT ARE HELPFUL:
USDM P07 wiring diagram (@ the ecu)
JDM P08 wiring diagram (@ the ecu)
which pin on the ecu needs a feed from a 1-wire O2 sensor
which position in the 5-wire O2 plug will bring me to that pin.
thanks HT,
SRH

JDM P08 Auto to Manual: remove rp17 remove rp18 add a jumper to rp18
not done there yet...
to connect to D14 (O2 signal at ECU) use the orange/blue wire at the VX's O2 plug. It should have connected to the white wire on the O2.
no wire switching at the ECU required.
you didn't throw an O2 code because the VX's wideband must have sent just enough of a faint signal to fool the ECU into thinking that the O2 is there. Far from a correct reading though.

but rp17 had to come off either way right?

yep, remove RP17, jumper across RP18.
