92 civic hatch h2b -17 degrees timing
just as tittle says. aem reads -17 degrees of timing when i try to crank when dizzy is hot and it stays at -17 degrees. doesn't jump or vary. oem dizzy by the way. cold i get 16 degrees of timing and it starts fine. at -17 i get intake backfire. weezing no start. what part in the dizzy tells the ecu the degrees of timing. icm coil. the cam and crank sensors in the dizzy??

have you tried to rotate the distributor to retard it one degree? i really don't think one degree would keep it from firing up. have you checked mechanical timing?
