90 crx with b16 pre obd swap, getting a CEL need some help here.
i'm getting a code six (water temp sensor) from a pr3 ecu with my b16a1 pre obd. the code is for a faulty tw sensor but the wiring is correct (checked by a honda technician) and it ohms out to the correct ohm.
we took the ecu out and on the outside it has it's code with a pr3 ecu. it has some kind of board attached to it. heres some pics. i need to get this fixed as it's causing the engine to run in limp mode. anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
serial #'s on the ecu are as follows 37820-pr3-j50
also has a stamp on it saying "denshingiken"

Have you tried another ECU (friends ECU) I know there are 2 ECU's which were used with the JDM B16a1 both pre-obd.. it's the PR3 and the Pr0 I believe... one was for the Integra XSi.. and the other is the CRX SiR.. but I would just try another ECU and double check the actual sensor..
Hope this helps

First of all you have an automatic PR3 ECU Notice the "AT" printed in white on the extra pc board in the lower left hand corner? The "5" in J50 also denotes the ECU as being an Auto. This shouldn't the problem with the Code 6 engine coolant temp sensor though.

so if i had one with a AT on the board but on the outside the code says 37820-pr3-901 would that be an auto ecu also?
