90-93 clutch cable into b16a rex.... Please help

Default 90-93 clutch cable into b16a rex.... Please help

Ok I have a b16a and a crx 91 hf shell. I have the motor in and everything. I tired the stock cable clutch and it didn't work and then i got a 90-93 cable. Its still to short. By alot. IF I don't attach the cable to the peddle it fits if i do its to short please please help. everyone says it should work.

the stock cable should work...according to the above, there should be 10mm of freeplay within the lever(which is only about .4")

edit: shop manual says 3-4mm freeplay at release arm tip

take the two i think 12mm bolts out of the bracket put the cable on and bolt the bracket back up

Yup, that's how to do it. Take the cable holder bracket off the tranny and mount the cable into it first, then you can stretch it out and bolt it back onto the tranny. This method will work for both the stock or Integra cable.

The 90-93 cable should fit fine, try re-routing the cable where it comes out of the firewall to run it on top of the intake mani instead of around back the engine.

we got it in fine now...thanks for the help guys! some minor adjusting and it should be fine...we were making the mistake thinking that there was suposed to be more play in the movement of the lever.

WTF im still stuck with this elementary school **** . I tried to take the bracket off and then put it on and it feels as if the cable will snap , or ill mess up my pressure plate (if thats possible) .Everyone says it is suposed to work and i have trhee cables., a si ,hf, 90-93 teg. ill try and re-route the cable and see if that works.
