89 CRX HF LS VTEC swap won't start??
I have an LS Vtec swap in my 89 CRX HF , it is a 96 GSR head 91 LS block. It has spark, fuel press. & Volume, Injector pulse, plug wires correct, distributor ok, etc... It has everything there but won't start. It won't crank from the key but will if you jump the starter solenoid. There are no ecu codes either? The car is running OBD0 I haven't changed any sensors but I shouldn't have to?? Some one have any ideas?? I have no clue??

Well, i am not familiar with part numbers, but if that is an obd1 distributor, and you are using an obd0 computer, that could be your problem.

Why is that? Everything is wired correctly, it is off a 96 type-r. I am almost positive as long as you match wires color for color you can use any B series Dist.

Well, i am almost positive that you cannot. The internals are completly different.

No they are the same?? The difference is the plugs?? Can anyone else elaborate on this?? I have also tried several other Dist. also. Plus there are no codes CKP, TDC etc.. if there were then it would point to the dist.

Re: (DrPerformance)
You cannot use an obd1 dizzy with an obd 0 ecu. However you can use an obd 2 ecu in an obd1 car and vice versa just the plugs are diff.
Check your grounds. From the Tranny to the frame and the VC to Frame.
