I topped out at 8K including my car w/ a boosted b18b, that includes rims/tires, suspension, new: FMIC, sc34,hondata, 550cc RC's, HKS type-1 timer. The list goes on.

My point is, is that you can do whatever you want just find the right deals

Which route..., I suggest driving other cars, to get a feel for the engine, i.e. RSX or a swapped k20 eg... etc.

ITR with boOost.. and save the extra money and throw it into the bank or invest them into STOCKS!!
