with that cleared up....
you might want to buy an exhaust system like an apexi ni...(around 450)
with the extra 150 you should get an aem short ram or cold air intake...

you cant really do anything with an automatic, you could save and do a auto-manual swap or save and put in a b18b auto in, but with 600, exhaust and intake is your best bet for some more power

put the $600 to savings, search on this site for a used turbo kit, and then save up the rest. it'll probably run you $1200-ish for everything depending on the kit you find.

get an Apex-i kit or GReddy kit.

Intake, exhaust and even header is going to do much to a D16Z6, if anything at all.

save your loot, an exhaust will do slim to none on a stock car, an intake will help some, but w/an automatic that is stock-won't do much. save & get turbo, another motor, a reground cam + ecu, do an auto to manual conversion. your options are endless, I just don't think that i/e will do much for you; just my $.02

If you want some power now I would probably go with a used turbo kit. After that, I just save up until you have enough for a B series swap with manual tranny. You could then reuse the turbo kit from your current motor and only need a B series manifold and a few minor mods for it to work with the new motor.

Great advice from VTECvillain, The great thing about civics and honda in general is the fact that you can use the parts you get for your motor now and recycle most parts for when you get a newer motor.

Turbo is great just stick with 6lbs or so to avoid problems that are certain to happen without a big build-up.

My opinion (here comes the flaming) is to get a decent priced intake (40.00) an exhaust system preferably catback (250.00 shipped) through muffler tech. I used there OBX exhaust on my last honda civic and its awesome great sound great performance.

I also live in area that uses salt in the winter time and NO rust at all.

That leaves 300+ left over. I would look into some KYB AGX struts for around 325.00. If thats out of your range then go with some strut bars all around for about 130.00 and some Matrix coilovers for 130.00 shipped.

Remember guys there is different levels of perfomance parts available and I think Matrix is great (use Skunk coils).

thats funny.. I was 15 and I got a 94 civic, and I didn't know what to do to my car.
I saved my money and I am in the process of dropin an H22a in.
Not a bad way to go, but when your 15 your budget can get kinda tight

listen to these guys and save your money, intake/exaust isn't gonna do ****. don't worry about any bolt-ons. get a motor or turbo . or trade it in for a phat hatch wid a 5spd... just a thought.

Put that $600 to work for you making interest. Or buy $600 worth of lottery tickets and win. I would probably stick with the 1st one.

oh, and dont waste your money on show.
because sooner or later your going to have to back it up and if your still pushing a non modified D series motor your going to look pretty foolish.

Nitrous, Strip it, weld your open diff, 300Z fuel pump, and FPR. But I doubt you're that hardcore, so save what you have for a swap or turbo.

Buy a big wing, and some altezzas, and the largest chrome wheels you can find! Also make sure to lower it 4 inches and put the Stage 2 NOS in your car and always remember to double clutch and throw mad tite revs at every single car out there!

Hopefully, at 15, you know what all these guys are talking about. Since he is only 15, he probably won't be able to do the swap himself. Do you know anyone close to you that could help you with all of this said mechanical work?

just start reading How-to's and manuals on swaping and turbo charging and you can probably do a swap all by your lonesome, with the help of Honda tech of course.

if ur planning to keep ur SOHC motor then do a 5spd conversion, you can probably get the parts for less than $600 and do research and do it urself.

1) Wait till your legal to drive
1.5) Save money for prom and such so you can get laid.
2) Learn how to do regular maintanence work i.e. Oil change, spark plugs, etc
3) Learn how to drive well
4) Drive stock so you will appreciate your mods more
5) Get good set of tools, helms manual
6) Start modding

After all of that.... I recomend saving money for a swap

sell your whole car, take your 6 bills you got, put it togather with the money you get from you car sale, then get a 5 speed hatch or coupe, in the long run the money you spend converting it will kill you when you need dough for real mods

good idea, buy a 4th gen civic for like $500, use your money from your car's sale to do B18 swap, turbo, and in about a year or so you'll have one bad *** sleeper!

seriously you should get a skunk2 or dc short shifter($70), aem intake($150), plugs and wires($100), vafc($300) best start imo

you can also strip out your rear/ac/ps/abs/cc($0)

I'll agree with the first few replies... Save your money man! I bought my '95 Civic almost two years ago, and tried my best to make that motor fast... Unless you go forced induction, it is impossible.. I put nitrous on the thing, installed a gude cam, intake header exhaust and other little ****... I was still in the 14's, so I said screw it and bought a Type R swap and a bunch of goodies for it.. just started it up the other day, and will be driving this week! SAVE YOUR MONEY

i'll have to agree my friend has an auto turbo EX (like you) and it was not worth it at all....

no where close to mine...
