Default 2000 si wiring 97 chassis 2k b16a2 question

I have a 97 dx. I got the wiring interior wiring harness, and heater-a/c controls from a 2k Si. Am I wrong to assume that now that I have the 2K internal wiring harness I can use the ecu, and wiring harness that came with the 2000 swap?

If so, when I do the swap I am putting in all the interior pieces/controls from the Si. Does anyone know if the part of the ac from my 97 in the dash has different connectors than the 2000 ac unit? I got the electronic heater control, but that is all that I know was different.

Sorry if my post seems a bit poorly worded, but I am unbelievably caffeinated right now. Thanks for your understanding...

I have a 96 w/2000 motor its easier to just add your wires for vtec and the knock sensor and get a jumper harness and go obd1 with a chipped computer or p30. As for the dash harness thats alittle trickier because the si has different connectors. I use the si cluster and its just plug and play, everything will work except the low fuel warning indicator. Heater and air controls are different you may be able to change connectors but that means you gotta take the dash out, not worth it to me but its all about your preference. Good Luck! Oh yea dont forget to change the connectors on your engine wire harness as needed,(idle air control ect...) and ditch the si ecu because other than the plugs being different that go to the ecu you you will have to run the second o2 and a cat.

Yes, I know that would be the easiest route, but I have to pass emissions (the onboard data port, not tail pipe) here in GA, and I miss the Si interior. I know the connectors are different; that is why I bought the interior controls, and wiring harness. I am giving my car a facelift when I do the swap so my dash will be out anyway.

What I am not sure about is if there is a difference between the a/c unit in the dash of the 2 different year/models. If I need to get that I can.

Also, since I have the interior wiring harness I should be able to use the OBD2-b 2000 si ecu (with cat, and 2nd o2 bung for emissions) with the Si wiring harness in the 97 chassis, right? It would make sense as I have been told the only reason I could not use the Si ecu was the lack of interior wire harness in the 97.

Thanks.
