2000 civic to 2001 GSR swap
Ok, I have a friend who's done this swap. He was told about an imobilizer that is keeping him from turning the motor over. Got any clue or resources on how to get this gsr up and running. swapped from a (2000) 1.6 shoc to a (2001) 1.8 GSR. The motor is running on the shoc ecu but they can't the GSR ecu to work. If you have any answer plz follow up with an email to sunfire00gt-t@earthlink.net and here.

Re: 2000 civic to 2001 GSR swap (solrunner)
I assume what you are saying is Your Friend has a 2000 Civic, and Swapped to a 2001 B18C1. I have heard of the immobilizer Feature, but really didn't think it would ever come into play. Tell your friend to try running a 99 GSR ECU or '00. Surprised to hear the car actually runs with the SOHC ECU, Tell him not to drive it much those Fuel curves are no where near what that C1 Needs.
Anyone else have any ideas how to get around the Immobilizer setup??
BTW, Where did he get a 2K1 B18C1 anywayz thats the ish right there
