Default 2.3 F23 2000 accord engine fit in my civic????

I am going to do a engine swap and theres this great deal I found for a 2.3 L F23 engine w/ 37,000 miles on it out of a 2000 accord, will this engine swap into my 1995 civic Hatchback CX? and if so what amount of other stuff will need to be changed for it to all work?

actually i'm going to say that with it being an f series it should fit basically the same mount kit and modification as an h22 swap, seems kinda like a useless thing to do, its just more of a headache than an advantage

it uses the same mounts as the h22 can even use an h22 tranny so its would be the samw as doing an h22 swap...

it's not a waste of time if all youve got is a D15B8 right now, that's like 80 more horses and 50% more torque. Your car would be a hella lot more fun to drive then it is now.

I have a d15 in my civic right now... lol... Good mpg... But I am also getting ready to put an F23 in a civic... It will work with any H-series mount kit designed for civics... But you will have to swap out the stock F23 timing side mount bracket with one from an F22A(90-93 accord)... The F23 mount bracket doesn't line up with h-series mounts correctly... I got mine for 10 bucks from a junkyard... Other than that it is exactly like any H-series swap into a civic...

H-series mounts kits do not work with that year F23. The driver-side mount or engine bracket will need to be fabricated at the least. The transmission mount or transmission may need to be modified too.

Oh yeah, I work for Hasport.

That's what I said.. You have to use the timing(or drivers) side mount BRACKET from an F22A from a 90-93 Accord... IThe F23 tranny bracktet might be different too... I am using an H23 tranny so it has an h23 tranny bracket on it... No custom fabrication, just replace brackets...

I don't believe you can bolt the earlier 90-93 Accord engine bracket on the 2000 block. The only reason I say this is because I have a cutomer who we sent a 90 Accord engine bracket to and he tells me it won't fit. I could be wrong. If you know different, it is worth a try.

If you can actually get this motor in, then it might not be too bad of a swap due to its displacement, which is actually a little larger than even the H23A. Furthermore, I have heard of people using H23A heads on this motor with VERY good results. And given the fact that H22A heads will work on an H23A, you might even be able to get an H22A head on this block. Don't take my word for it, though, as I have never done this or even heard of it being done. You might want to look into this further if it appeals to you.

I have done this exact swap.

I put a '00 f23 into my friends '93 civic dx coupe.

For the driverside mounting bracket, we used an h22 bracket and trimmed it to fit the f23.

We ran it off of an obd1 f22 EX ecu.
We also used obd2A injectors(obd1 will work also) because the obd2b injectors are a different size and dont work with the obd1 ecu.

The car was super fun to drive and the swap is well worth it, imo. Its just kinda cool too, cause you dont see it done too often.

And 150hp and 153 trq makes is a blast to drive at autocross!!

Well I know it bolts to the motor for a fact because i used that bracket in my f23/h22 turbo motor and PirateMcFred used the same bracket on his f23/h23 motor... 3 of the 4 holes line up but the bracket itself bolts directly to h-series mounts with no problems lining up...

My Motor:

I had an F23 block with an H22 head turbo'd in a prelude and now I am building an F23 block with an H23 Head turbo for a civic coupe....

It would be a very interesting swap. The f23 is a super cheap motor with great gas mileage and plenty of tq. I'm going to try to convince someone locally to buy my f23 to do this

Also, the head swap that has been done I beleive is the H23, referred to as the g23. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1046336

Good deal, that means our EFH kit will also work with the F23.

My son blew his honda 1.7 and we have a f23 motor and automatic trans we want to put in his 01 civic. Would we need the same brackets as the 95 civic or different ones? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
