1st gen b16a into eg ..please help
i want to put a 1st gen b16a in my car just to roll around on ..i know you guys ask why..but i have a gsr already in my car ..but it is smoking due to 2 bad cylinders...anywasy i want to put a cheap motor in it to drive around on ...so i went with a b16a ... i can use any parts off the gsr...off course i will use header,os sensor,wiring harness,distributor,injectors, but what about the intake manifold? will the sensors plug into the obd 1 harness? please let me know what else ill have to do for this swap...thanks alot..

I cant understand wanting to put a 1gen in it. But anyway go to c-speedracing they have an obd1 harness that I think will convert a non-obd engine to obd1.

well i currently have a gsr in my car...it is smoking big time...i need to use the head of the gsr for my b20vtec motor build..but i need something to drive around on if that answers yoru question of why would i do that..i dont want to walk around and dont want a sohc..thanks

you could buy a gsr longblock for less that 1000$ that will fix your problem.

Use you GSR mounts, injectors, distributor, and tranny and just bolt it in. As for ECU, the GSR ECU will work temporarily or you could find a 92-93 PR3 or 92-94 P30 or just have a P28 chipped to run the engine.

no you wouldnt be able to use the gsr intake manifold w/ the 1st gen motor, the wiring is a little different, it would be easier to just use the b16a intake manifold.

well for one the wiring isnt different on the gsr manifold except the secondarys and the soliniod..my question wasnt about the wiring i got it all down..just jurious if the non obd b16a (88-91) intake manifold sensor plug into the harness...i know that the reason why the gsr intake dont fit isnt due to wiring it is due to the bolt pattern...but thanks for tryin to help anyways man

and if you can get me a gsr longblock for under 1000 bucks let me know..that is cheapest i have ever heard of gsr longblock..normally see them for at least 1500...i work at shop and get great deals and atill dont see those prices..let me know if you can get me one...AZ isnt that far from here..lates
