1st gen b16a into a 92 hatch?
well my friend is kinda hooking me up with his 1st gen b16a out of his crx....
my main question is would it be legal?
and would it be worth the hassle? he is giving me the whole engine with ecu, axle, and tranny(cable ) all for $1000 what else would i need?

You will need:
obd1 ecu
hydrolic tranny
obd1 distributor
injectors (intake manifold assembly)
engine mount kit (from hasport) About $500..
and wire harness....Probably more but cant think rite now...
So imo it's not worth the hassle you can get a sir2 for the same price (after you get all the proper stuff for the sir1) and it will drop rite in, not to mention it has more power and will be a newer engine.....

you can use that cable tranny, Hasport sells a kit so that you can use the cable tranny so check that out, and u dont need a mount kit just the mounts from the B16A3(del sol)

Not all states have the same laws, so you might be legal with that motor. But, he is not "hooking you up" by selling you the swap for $1000. If you're set on a B16, save up and buy a second gen B16 which you can use everything that comes with it.
